Postmortem basically.
Alright so assuming there were no other major game breaking bugs after the last few patches. This should've been a mediocre game essentially, which I suppose wasn't a bad idea for a first timer but certainly not wise to release.
This project mainly began as a way to try to figure out how to get game feel correct or basically polish which is probably the hardest part of a game. While the idea of the game itself isn't exactly bad the executation wasn't very good and could've been done better. There's a noticable lack of variety in weaponry and the difficulty is pretty odd ranging from incredibly easy to pretty insanely hard ( if not that the difficulty / game balance isn't very good. )
Summary is that Killbot was a pretty good idea but it should've been saved for when I gain more experience. Although this wasn't too bad of an attempt.
I do plan on remaking Killbot some time from now ( at least a year or so? ), and my next project will be announced or at least started within 2-3 months so by November or December. With school that may be a slight issue but I'll try not to have it get in the way. Hopefully I can do better next time and didn't make a horrible first impression. Anyone who's reading this please follow me if you want to stay up to date with my adventure to hopefully become a better game developer.
