So the two things I fixed ( thanks to https://chukobyte.itch.io/ ) for finding these bugs ( you should also check out their games ).

• If you die, you may go into a loop of infinite dying. While I couldn't reproduce it on my system, it wasn't until Chukobyte found it that I didn't know about this. Hopefully it doesn't do that anymore.
• The intro sequence seems to always skip the first frame. This is definitely fixed since it also happens on my machine as well.
